A word before tonight's 1st Presidential Debate begins...
History tells us that elections are not usually won nor lost in a debate. Traditionally whoever was leading heading into the debates winds up doing better on election day.
This year may be different. With a fairly thin margin separating Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, a terrific or traumatic performance might play a big part in deciding the final outcome.
Barack Obama is thought to be the better of the two men when it comes to debating, but Mitt Romney has had far more practice in the last 18 months.
Both men have some difficult questions to answer.
