When it comes to politics, legendary actor Clint Eastwood is a moderate Republican. During yesterday's Super Bowl, this two minute tribute ad about the American car industry was shown at halftime of the Giants/Patriots tilt. While not directly politically related, the Re-elect Obama campaign must've smiled, while the Romney camp probably didn't care for it too much. The Obama Administration loaned quite a bit of money to the auto industry, while Romney felt the free market, traditional bankruptcy, etc would've been the better route to go.
I suspect there will be numerous requests or Mr. Eastwood to comment on this commercial and his thoughts on the upcoming general election. I suspect he will say it does NOT mean he supports President Obama for re-election.
Still, more people probably watched this two seconds of what you might as well call a re-elect Obama ad.
